1. Optional Google Sign-In. Porthole offers an optional "Sign in with Google" feature that lets you sync your feed selections with your soloscout.net account. When you choose to sign in:

   • Authentication happens through soloscout.net using Google's OAuth flow. Porthole itself does not request any Google API access; it only receives an authentication token from soloscout.net.
   • We collect and store your email address, your Google profile name, and your selected RSS feed preferences. The email is used as your identifier on the soloscout.net backend.
   • Your feed preferences are stored as a JSON document linked to your soloscout.net account so the same selections appear in Porthole and on soloscout.net.
   • Sign-in is optional. If you do not sign in, Porthole works exactly as before with the bundled default feed list, and no personal information is collected.
   • You can sign out at any time from the settings panel, which clears the authentication token from your browser. Account deletion requests can be made via the soloscout.net privacy page.

2. Security We take reasonable measures to protect Personal Information from loss, theft, unauthorized access, and unauthorized disclosure. However, no data transmission over the Internet or storage of data can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us or store on our app.

3. Retention of Personal Information We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by law.

4. Access and Correction You may request access to or correction of your Personal Information that we hold by contacting us using the information provided below.
